Interstate 5 Shut Down Following Pedestrian Accident on Anderson Road

Mount Vernon, WA (May 28, 2020)– On early Tuesday morning, troopers received a report of a pedestrian accident on Anderson Road.

The reports were made on May 26 at about 2:15 in the morning, authorities immediately responded to the scene.

According to trooper Heather Axtman, the incident involved a pedestrian who has been laying on the roadway. Several cars hit the pedestrian on the road that cost the victim’s life.

Furthermore, the incident prompted the closure of northbound Interstate 5 for several hours. However, the highway reopened for the traffic by 6:40 a.m.
