1 Dead in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on 405 Freeway
LONG BEACH, CA (July 26, 2019) – A pedestrian died after a vehicle struck him while he walked in the slow lane on southbound 405 Freeway.
Few details regarding the accident was released. However, the incident happened on southbound 405 Freeway near the Cherry Avenue exit at around 11:00 p.m. on July 24.
It is unknown if the victim died at the scene or at a hospital.
During the investigation, authorities shut down the Nos. 4 and 5 lanes of the freeway. The closure is just south of Cherry Avenue and the Spring Street on-ramp.
