Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Missouri Route 6 Kills 1 [Buchanan County, MO]

1 Person Dead in Buchanan Multi-Vehicle Accident on Missouri Route 6

BUCHANAN, MO (May 21, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Missouri Route 6 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Missouri Route 6.

According to reports, an eastbound Lincoln MKZ crossed over the center line and rear-ended a Nissan Rogue that was traveling in the opposite direction. Then, the Lincoln MKZ struck a concrete barrier, returned to the roadway, crossed the center line again, and rear-ended an eastbound Ford F150.

Moreover, the Lincoln MKZ also collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe before it came to rest.

Furthermore, responders rushed the 49-year-old female driver of the Lincoln MK to Mosaic Life Care, where she was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the 63-year-old female driver of the Nissan Rogue and her 9-year-old female passenger to a hospital, both with minor injuries.

Also, responders transported the 37-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe with minor injuries, and her two passengers, a 9-year-old boy with moderate injuries and a 12-year-old girl with minor injuries, to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford F150 was not hurt in the collision.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the authorities continued investigating the crash.
