Multi-Vehicle Accident on 91 Freeway Turns Fatal in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (January 24, 2020) — A man died, and a woman suffered serious injuries in Tuesday’s five-vehicle collision on the 91 Freeway near Paramount Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident unfolded at approximately 10:45 p.m. Up to five vehicles collided under unknown circumstances.
 
A witness reported seeing one person lying in the carpool lane; however, it’s unclear whether this person had been the man or woman.
 
Officials closed the surrounding area until around 12:30 a.m., the following morning as they investigated to learn what drove the crash in the first place.
 
The identity of the fatal victim has yet to be identified by the coroner’s office at this time.
