Fatal Multi-Car Crash on 10 Freeway Near 5 Freeway [Boyle Heights, CA]

1 Dead, 2 Hurt in Boyle Heights Accident

 
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA (April 8, 2019) – A multi-car crash on 10 Freeway Friday night turned deadly, claiming one person’s life near the 5 Freeway.
 
The deadly event unfolded on the westbound side of the 10 Freeway. Around 11:30 p.m., fire crews and California Highway Patrol officers assessed a Honda Civic that purportedly crashed into a tree.
 
At the scene, one person succumbed to his or her injuries, while two others required extrication from firefighters.
 
Authorities are unsure at this point as to what caused the vehicles to collide, but an ongoing investigation continues.
