Unidentified Person Killed in Reno Motorcycle Accident on Veterans Parkway
RENO, NV (April 28, 2020) – Early Monday afternoon, an unidentified victim was killed in a motorcycle accident on Veterans Parkway in South Reno.
According to Officer Travis Warren with the Reno Police Department, officers came to the crash scene after receiving reports of a vehicle and motorcycle collision. They arrived shortly before 1:30 p.m., on the Veterans Parkway and Long Meadow Drive intersection.
When the medical responders arrived at the scene, they transported both motorists to a local hospital. However, the motorcycle rider later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
Furthermore, Officer Warren also revealed that the motorcyclist’s speeding played a role in the collision.
The surrounding area on Veterans Parkway was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
Due to lack of information, authorities are searching for more evidence. At this time, the crash remains under active investigation.
