Rider Killed in Reno Motorcycle Collision With SUV

 
RENO, NV (February 3, 2020)—A motorcycle crash on South Virginia Street near Tamarack Junction took a person’s life Thursday.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, crews responded to reports of a collision that involved a motorcyclist and an SUV.
 
NHP officers confirmed that a male motorcyclist died shortly after.
 
Officials who interviewed witnesses say the rider was traveling at a high rate of speed seconds before the impact. The SUV subsequently struck the southbound motorcyclist as it attempted a left turn onto northbound Virginia Street.
 
Following the accident, paramedics brought the SUV driver, a woman, to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Authorities plan to investigate this crash further to determine where the fault lies.
