Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Gary Avenue Kills 2 [Pomona, CA]

Pomona, CA (May 29, 2023) On Sunday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Gary Avenue left 2 people dead and another injured.

According to Pomona PD, the deadly SUV crash happened around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection with Bonita Avenue.

Reports say that first responders found a flipped SUV and 3 people trapped inside the wrecked vehicle. Officials say that the male driver and female front-seat passenger died at the scene.

Meanwhile, rescuers transported the female backseat passenger to the hospital in critical condition. No details about their identity have been released at this time.

Authorities say that witnesses say that another driver caused the incident, said vehicles struck a tree at a sidewalk. Officials say that a witness chased the driver fleeing the scene, however, the suspect got away fleeing towards Gary Avenue.
