1 Dead, 1 Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 95 in Tonopah
TONOPAH, NV (June 27, 2019) – One person died Tuesday night in a head-on crash on Highway 95 near Esmerelda County Mile Marker 98.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, two cars collided 50 miles north of Tonopah. As a result, one person perished, and paramedics airlifted the other to a hospital with major yet non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined that one driver tried passing up another vehicle yet collided with an oncoming car head-on. However, the driver escaped injury. Authorities also say the crash did not involve that driver.
However, because details are limited, authorities intend to investigate this incident further.
