Fatal DUI Crash near US Route 101 and Interstate 280 Kills 1 [San Jose, CA]

1 Person Dead in San Jose Motorcycle Accident near US Route 101 and Interstate 280

SAN JOSE, CA (May 20, 2025) – Saturday morning, a fatal DUI crash near US Route 101 and Interstate 280 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:53 a.m. near the connector of US Route 101 and Interstate 280.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound white Cadillac Deville struck a motorcyclist who was stopped on the right shoulder. Then, the Cadillac returned to the roadway, veered across all lanes, and crashed into a center divide concrete wall.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the 36-year-old motorcyclist died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Cadillac to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested the Cadillac driver for DUI.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
