1 Killed in San Jose Bicycle Accident on Vistapark Drive

 
SAN JOSE, CA (July 16, 2019) – A bicyclist died while another sustained serious injuries in an accident on Vistapark Drive on July 15.
 
Officers came to the scene at 7:43 a.m. on Vistapark Drive and Capitol Expressway in South San Jose.
 
A woman exited a parking lot in a gray Chevrolet SUV south on Vistapark when she struck both bicyclists. Responders transported the victims to the hospital. However, one of them died shortly after. The second victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
 
The identity of the deceased remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the SUV driver helped with the police investigation . Authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol appear as factors in the collision.
