1 Dead in Multiple-Vehicle Crash near Romero Visitor Center in Gustine
MERCED COUNTY, CA (June 4, 2018) – One person was pronounced dead after a three-car collision on Highway 152, early Monday morning. The identity of the deceased victim was not released to the public.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place on the 152 Highway near the Romero Visitor Center, just west of Los Banos. Events leading up to the 2:30 AM collision were not immediately confirmed.
Both lanes of the road were blocked by the crash, causing delays in the area. Officials continue to investigate the fatal accident, and believe that something slick on the road could possibly be the cause of the crash. It remains to be unclear at this time.
