1 Person Dead in San Joaquin County Traffic Crash on Highway 88 and Alpine Road

SAN JOAQUIN, CA (May 18, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a fatal two-vehicle accident on Highway 88 and Alpine Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. on Highway 88 at Alpine Road.

According to reports, a westbound big rig that was hauling 68 live cattle in its trailer collided with a northbound Toyota.

Also, authorities confirmed that the big rig failed to stop at a red light and collided with the Toyota. Then, the force of the crash pushed the car to roll over under the trailer.

Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the Toyota driver dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that alcohol played a role in the crash.
