Faisal Dakhil Killed in State Route 509 Vehicle Crash [Tacoma, WA]

2 People Injured in Taylor Way Fatal Collision

Tacoma, WA (March 13, 2023) – At about 2:35 a.m. on Saturday, Faisal Dakhil, 25, of Tacoma, died, while 2 other people sustained injuries following a State Route 509 vehicle crash.

Troopers said Dakhil and his passenger were northbound on the freeway, while the big rig driver was eastbound on Taylor Way. 

Investigating officers said Dakhil failed to stop at a red light and collided with a semi-trailer.

Unfortunately, Faisal Dakhil died at the crash scene. His passenger, a 25-year-old Fircrest man, sustained injuries and was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. 

Similarly, the big rig driver, a 35-year-old Bremerton man, also sustained injuries and was transported to the same hospital. 

The authorities closed the road for more than seven hours as they clear the scene.
