Fabian Castellanos of Visalia Killed in DUI Crash on Road 92 and Avenue 260 [Tulare, CA]

 Fabian Castellanos Dead, Jerry Diaz Avila Arrested in Tulare DUI Accident on Road 92 

TULARE, CA (July 26, 2021) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Jerry Diaz Avila after a fatal crash on Road 92 and Avenue 260.

The accident happened at around 10:45 p.m. on Road 92 and Avenue 260.

According to officers, 21-year-old Jerry Diaz Avila of Tulare drove north on Road 92 along with a 19-year-old female passenger from Hanford. Then, he drove across oncoming traffic.

As a result, their vehicle collided head-on with a 19-year-old Visalia man driving a pickup truck.

The impact ejected the 19-year-old driver from his vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Later reports identified him as Visalia teen Fabian Castellanos.

Meanwhile, Avila’s 19-year-old passenger sustained major injuries. At this time, the CHP officers haven’t disclosed any details on her condition.

Furthermore, the CHP found out that Diaz drove while under the influence of alcohol. Thus, they booked him into jail with drunk driving and manslaughter charges.

At this time, the authorities maintain that this deadly DUI crash remains under active investigation.
