Evonnie Caceres of Saugus Killed in Victory Boulevard Collision [Burbank, CA]

Burbank, CA (September 6, 2023) – On September 3, 24-year-old Evonnie Caceres of Saugus was killed in a  Victory Boulevard collision.

Burbank Police and Paramedics responded to the two-vehicle collision at around 2:15 p.m. in the area of Magnolia Boulevard.

“When police officers arrived, they located one female with significant injuries seated in the passenger seat of a white Dodge Challenger. She was transported to Holy Cross Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased. The male driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries,” a statement from the Burbank Police Department.’

The witnesses said that the Dodge Challenger containing Caceres and her companion accelerated through the intersection while a black Nissan SUV was completing a left eastbound turn resulting in a collision.

The Dodge driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed onto the curb, traffic signal pole, and power pole on the northeast corner of the intersection.

The occupants of the other vehicle did not sustain injuries and remained at the scene.

A pedestrian standing at the street corner was hit by debris from the accident and was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no information if drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both were factors in the fatal crash.
