57-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured in Accident near Beven Drive
ESCONDIDO, CA (April 6, 2018) – A 57-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision on Valley Parkway, late Friday night.
Police officials were dispatched to the scene of the crash at around 11:30 PM. A 2005 Honda Accord and a 1996 Toyota Tacoma collided on Valley Parkway, just north of Beven Drive, according to Escondido Police Lt Michael Kearney. The Honda was heading westbound on Valley Parkway and the Toyota pickup truck was driving eastbound on Valley Parkway.
Emergency personnel declared the 57-year-old man dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the incident. The Honda driver, a 36-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was rushed to the Palomar Medical Center for treatment. There is no update on his current condition at this time.
The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released to the public, pending notification to his family.
