Lubbock Police Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision on South Loop 289
Lubbock, TX (September 12, 2023) On Sunday evening, 58-year-old Ernest Palacio Jr. was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on South Loop 289.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the fatal pedestrian collision happened at about 9 p.m. on the 1900 block of South Loop 289.
Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck Palacio, as the pedestrian attempted to cross the road.
Officials pronounced Palacio dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the fatal pedestrian collision and have not provided further details about the crash.
