Woman Dies after Head-On Crash on Ramona Expressway near Warren Road
SAN JACINTO, CA (August 12, 2019) – Authorities identified 43-year-old Erika Amaya of Moreno Valley as the woman killed in a head-on crash on Ramona Expressway, Monday morning.
According to the San Jacinto Sheriff Station, the incident happened at about 4:35 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a westbound green Hyundai sedan crossed the double yellow lines. Then, it collided head-on with an eastbound white Chevrolet sedan.
Emergency responders pronounced Amaya dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Hyundai suffered moderate injuries and required hospitalization. The surviving driver’s current condition remains unknown.
