Driver Arrested after Highland Car Crash on Greenspot Road

 
HIGHLAND, CA (May 6, 2020) – Saturday evening, an accident on Greenspot Road injured five children and led to the arrest of Eric Ortega.
 
According to police reports, the incident happened just after 7:00 p.m., on Greenspot Road and Santa Ana Canyon Road. Emergency personnel arrived to the area shortly after.
 
Reports from the authorities revealed that for unidentified reasons, a white Chevrolet Tahoe veered off the road and entered a dirt field. There, the car eventually overturned.
 
As a result, several young passengers were ejected and sustained serious injuries. When medical responders arrived, they took the children to the hospital for further treatment. At this time, their current conditions have not been disclosed. However, the authorities confirmed that five kids sustained serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities took 28-year-old Ortega of San Bernardino into custody. At this time, the authorities believe that Ortega showed signs of intoxication.
