South First Street Collision Injures Driver and Passenger
Othello, WA (February 9, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, Eriberto Camacho, 27, of Othello, was involved in a State Route 26 collision injuring a driver and a passenger.
The authorities said Eriberto Camacho was driving an eastbound 2002 Acura MDX on the freeway, approaching South First Street. He apparently attempted to turn left onto South First Street in front of a westbound 2008 Chevrolet Silverado.
The Acura broadside the pickup truck on the right. As a result, the truck rolled into the ditch.
Camacho did not sustain injuries from the collision. However, one of his passengers, an 18-year-old Orting woman, sustain injuries and was transported to the hospital. Officers said she was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened. Three other passengers were not hurt in the crash.
Moreover, the 42-year-old Othello man, who was driving the truck also sustained injuries from the crash. His 51-year-old male passenger from Othello was not injured.
Officers said Eriberto Camacho failed to yield the right of way and any citations are pending.
