The crashed plane was a single-engine Cozy Mark IV, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed that two people were on board.

The plane was flying strangely near Moss Beach before it crashed, as per the sheriff’s office. Pieces of the plane were later found in the ocean near the coastline.
