1 Person Hurt in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident on 36th Street and Cactus Road
PHOENIX, AZ (February 13, 2025) – On Tuesday, Emilia Alcala sustained injuries in an alarming hit-and-run crash on 36th Street and Cactus Road.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. behind Phoenix’s Roadrunner Park, off 36th Street and Cactus Road.
According to reports, a 1989 to 1999 Silver or Grey Chevy 1500 Quad Cab Truck struck a 69-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the street. Then, the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim, identified as Alcala, to HonorHealth’s John C Lincoln Medical Center with two broken arms, a broken finger and multiple cuts and bruises.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
