4 Hurt, Including Elvis Arias and Kathleen Nunez, in Las Vegas Car Collision on Flamingo Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 17, 2019) – Two people sustained serious injuries in a car collision on Flamingo Road on September 13.
The officers came to the scene on East Flamingo Road and South Pecos Road just before 7:00 p.m. The Las Vegas police revealed that a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva’s driver traveled north on Pecos Road in the middle lane.
Meanwhile, a 2013 Acura TSX’s driver also headed north on Pecos. The Acura driver then rear-ended the Chevrolet from behind. The vehicles both rotated clockwise and went off the road.
The Chevrolet then crashed into a curb and rolled over on the driver’s side. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old Acura driver suffered from impairment and got arrested. His identity remains unreleased as of this time.
Meanwhile, 18-year-oldElvis Arias, an unrestrained Acura passenger, sustained critical injuries. 23-year-old Kathleen Nunez, the Chevy passenger, also sustained serious injuries.
Two other occupants from the Chevy sustained minor injuries.
Authorities shut down the road while Las Vegas police investigate the crash.
