Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car near Panella Park
STOCKTON, CA (June 7, 2018) – An elderly woman was fatally injured in a pedestrian collision on Lorraine Avenue near Panella Park, on Thursday evening.
The woman, said to be in hers 80s, was on the 5700 block of Lorraine Avenue when struck by a vehicle. Officials and emergency personnel arrived at the scene around 7:30 PM, to find the woman in critical condition.
She was rushed to a local hospital, but later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Her identity was not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities during their investigation. Events leading up to the fatal collision were not immediately released to the public.
