75-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car at Rio Bonito Drive
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA (June 11, 2018) – An elderly woman was struck and killed by a car in a hit-and-run accident on Saleroso Drive, on Monday evening. Her identity was not immediately disclosed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision took place on the 1800 block of Saleroso Drive at the intersection with Rio Bonito Drive, around 7:00 PM. The victim was crossing the street with her husband, when a four-door silver Pontiac sedan, struck her.
There is no current description of the hit-and-run driver at this time.
The unidentified woman was critically injured and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. She later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police officials continue to investigate the fatal accident, and are actively searching to the vehicle and driver involved.
