LA MESA, CA (June 7, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, an elderly woman sustained injuries in a trolley crash on Spring Street in La Mesa.
 
According to reports, a trolley hit her red Toyota car near the trolley station on Spring Street and La Mesa Boulevard in La Mesa.
 
When the firefighters from Heartland Fire arrived at the scene, they used jaws of life to free the woman. She was hit while attempting to drive across the tracks, said a Border Patrol officer.
 
The woman sustained pain in her side and neck.
