83-Year-Old Pedestrian Hospitalized after Struck by Car near Geneva Avenue
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 6, 2018) – An elderly man seriously injured in a pedestrian crash on Mission Street, late Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:45 AM near Geneva Avenue. The 83-year-old pedestrian was reportedly struck by an unidentified vehicle, driven by a 71-year-old man. It was not clear if the man was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the collision.
The medics arrived at the scene and brought the man to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening. An update on his identity and current medical condition were not immediately available. The elderly driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No further details have been disclosed to the public.
