83-Year-Old Pedestrian Hospitalized after Struck by Car near Geneva Avenue

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 6, 2018) – An elderly man seriously injured in a pedestrian crash on Mission Street, late Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:45 AM near Geneva Avenue. The 83-year-old pedestrian was reportedly struck by an unidentified vehicle, driven by a 71-year-old man. It was not clear if the man was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the collision.

The medics arrived at the scene and brought the man to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening. An update on his identity and current medical condition were not immediately available.
