86-Year-Old Man Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Bush Street

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 22, 2018) – An elderly man was hospitalized Saturday evening following a pedestrian accident on Van Ness Avenue. The identity of the 86-year-old victim was not released.
 
According to officials with the San Francisco Police Department, the victim was struck by a vehicle at about 8:55 PM near Bush Street.
 
The impact seriously injured the man, and he was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Updates on his current medical conditions were not immediately available. Meanwhile, the 42-year-old man driving the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities during their investigation.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.
