Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 9 in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (May 14, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, an unidentified 69-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred on Highway 99 near Avenue 9, just before 3:30 p.m. The elderly man was riding a Harley Davidson on Highway 99 when his rear tire failed. As a result, the motorcyclist lost control and overturned onto the shoulder multiple times.
 
When medical responders arrived, they declared the male motorcyclist dead on scene. In addition, towing services were later requested due to the extent of damage sustained.
 
CHP officials also confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs played role in the motorcycle crash on Highway 99. At this time, authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
Moreover, the surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
 
Due to lack of details, the California Highway Patrol officers are continuously investigating the motorcycle collision. Once available, more information will be given.
