70-Year-Old Man Killed in DUI Pedestrian Accident on Aurora Avenue in Seattle

 
Seattle, Washington (April 03, 2020) – Wednesday night, a 70-year-old male pedestrian was killed in a DUI Hit-and-Run Collision on Aurora Avenue.
 
Officer responded to the accident around 8:00 p.m., on April 1. Authorities arrived near N. 125th Street after receiving multiple 911 calls in the area.
 
According to reports, a 21-year old driver was heading north on Aurora Avenue when he eventually struck the elderly pedestrian.
 
Medics located the unconscious man down on the road upon arrival. The victim was given CPR before he was later pronounced dead due to the extent of his injuries.
 
Moreover, officers found the suspect’s car about eight blocks away from the incident. However, there were no occupants inside.
 
Officers later found the suspect in North Seattle. Signs of impairment were discovered after he was investigated, and a blood sample was taken for evidence.
 
The male driver was investigated for vehicular homicide and hit-and-run. He was later booked into King County Jail. However, his name has not been released to the public.
 
Furthermore, the surrounding area on Aurora Avenue was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
