EL CENTRO, CA – 1 Killed in Rollover Accident on 8 Freeway

Deadly Rollover Crash on 8 Freeway in El Centro Ends in Fatality

 
EL CENTRO, CA (February 20, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash Wednesday morning in El Centro.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:27 a.m. along the westbound lanes of 8 Freeway near mile marker 9.
 
According to an initial report by the CHP, a vehicle had rolled over about 40 feet down an embankment.
 
Paramedics responded to the scene and found at least one fatality as a result of the accident. The name, age and town of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
At this time, California Highway Patrol officials are in the process of investigating the incident and are looking for possible other motorist who potentially initiated the crash.
