EL CAJON, CA – 1 Killed, 1 Injured in Fiery Head-On Crash at Willow Glen Drive and Willow Bend Drive

Early Morning Fiery Head-On Collision in El Cajon Kills 1 Driver

 
EL CAJON, CA (April 27, 2019) – One person was killed and another was injured following a fiery head-on crash early Saturday morning in El Cajon.
 
The crash happened just before 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Willow Glen Drive and Willow Bend Drive.
 
According to a witness, one car was speeding and swerving in lanes when it collided head-on with another vehicle.
 
One of the cars flipped over and caught fire as a result of the crash.
 
Authorities confirmed the driver of the burning vehicle died at the crash site. The surviving driver was taken to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Willow Glen Drive was closed for several hours as crews cleared the wreckage but has since been reopened.
 
Authorities are still determining whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
