The crash took place at about 12:08 a.m. north of Linwood Avenue which involved a 2016 silver Ford Explorer and a 2019 white Freightliner Cascadia,
Meanwhile, a preliminary investigation said the female driver of the Explorer was traveling north at an unknown but fast speed in the Number 2 lane. She was just right behind the Freightliner truck.
The woman rear-ended the truck and drifted out of control, off the right-hand shoulder. Her vehicle struck a fence and a tree.
Finally, the Explorer caught fire, and the authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.

What Can the Bereaved Do?
Those closest to the victim may have the right to seek compensation for their loss. Indeed, some common examples include funeral expenses, medical bills, and what is called “loss of consortium.” Loss of consortium generally means the deprivation of future affection and companionship over an untimely death.
