Eduardo Vargas Killed in DUI Accident With Tree on Highway 204 Near Highway 99

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 9, 2019) – A vehicle that plowed into a tree on Highway 204 near Highway 99 claimed a DUI driver’s life Saturday morning.
 
Around 1:20 a.m., Eduardo Vargas was driving a Nissan Sentra westbound on the highway. Subsequently, he allowed his Nissan to drift to the right shoulder and collide head-on with a tree.
 
According to reports, Vargas died as a result of the accident. Authorities stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
 
In the investigation, authorities determined that drugs and alcohol appear to be factors in the collision.
