Edgar Gonzalez Dies in East Desert Inn Road Motorcycle Crash [Las Vegas, NV]

Las Vegas, NV (May 31, 2023) On Monday evening, 26-year-old Edgar Gonzalez Carabes died after a motorcycle crash on East Desert Inn Road.

According to Las Vegas police, the 2-vehicle crash happened around 10:41 p.m. on E. Desert Inn Road east of Mojave Road.

LVMPD says that Gonzalez was on a westbound 2003 Honda CBR 954 that collided with a bicyclist who was attempting to cross Desert Inn from south to north.

Both riders suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. However, Gonzalez succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the bicyclist, identified as a 45-year-old Las Vegas man, is still in the hospital with critical injuries as of Tuesday morning.

According to LVMPD, Gonzalez was traveling at a high rate of speed before the incident.
