Palmdale, CA (January 6, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, a 2-vehicle crash between a red compact car and a white truck on East Avenue R resulted in a fatality.

CHP says that the deadly car-truck collision happened at about 2:41 p.m. at the intersection with 100th Street East.

Reports say that the collision caused a downed utility pole and power lines. Paramedics say that a person was down on the ground.

Moreover, officials closed Avenue R from 100th Street East to 102nd Street East.

Authorities are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle crash and have not released additional information at this time.
