Dustin Perry Killed in Highway 70 Pedestrian Accident [Oroville, CA]

Oroville, CA (April 16, 2025) – 38 -year-old Dustin Perry lost his life in a Highway 70 pedestrian accident Monday night.

 It was around 8:45 p.m. when the devastating accident happened in Oroville.

Oroville CHP said 22-year-old Monique Dellacruz was driving when Dustin Perry ran into the road. Officers said he was crossing from the west side of freeway when Dellacruz saw him.

Dellacruz tried to avoid hitting Perry by braking and swerving, but Perry was still hit. 

Despite the responders’ treatment at the scene, Perry succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, investigators said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the fatal crash.

Troopers are still investigating and ask anyone with information to contact the Oroville CHP Area Office at 530-538-2700.
