2 Hospitalized in a Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 101 near Santa Road

 
Santa Rosa, CA (April 10, 2020) – California Highway Police reported an alleged DUI crash incident that left 2 people injured on Highway 101 near Todd Road.
 
The incident took place at about 10:50 p.m. on April 6 on Highway 101 Todd Road, Santa Rosa.
 
The CHP identified a person involved in the crash incident.
 
Anthony Garcia Lopez, 23-years old and a Rohnert Park resident, was operating a silver BMW sedan within the southbound lanes on Highway 101.
 
While on the road, Lopez reportedly slammed his BMW into the center median for reasons still unclear.
 
Consequently, a Honda Civic suddenly crashed into the side of the BMW where Lopez was standing.
 
As a result, Lopez sustained major injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for further attention.
 
Also, the Honda Civic driver was brought to the hospital as well for acquiring minor injuries.
 
According to the CHP, police arrested Lopez for suspicion of DUI.
 
No further information has been released.
 
The incident is still under investigation.
