Drivers Injured in Highway 180 Collision [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (December 19, 2023) – Two drivers were injured following a Highway 180 collision on Sunday.

This traffic collision between a Volvo and a Toyota Corolla unfolded at 11:44 a.m. on the westbound freeway near the interchange with Freeway 99.

CHP officers said the Volvo changed lanes it collided with the Toyota and the Volvo went into the guardrail. 

The guardrail went through the vehicle’s driver’s side and the driver sustained major injuries to his lower body. 

The rescuers freed the driver after being trapped in his vehicle for 30 minutes and rushed them to Community Regional Medical Center.

Moreover, the Toyota continued down an embankment and its driver incurred minor cuts to the face and head.

This traffic collision is under investigation.
