Two-Vehicle Crash on Panama Road and Union Avenue Causes Small Power Outage

 
Bakersfield, CA (August 21, 2020) – On Wednesday, a two-vehicle crash on Panama Road and Union Avenue caused a power outage.
 
The incident occurred at around 7:24 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Lamont.
 
Authorities said a man was driving an embezzled Nissan sedan and crashed into another driver. The impact of the collision knocked over a power line near Cottonwood and Panama Road.
 
Furthermore, Pacific Gas and Electric said 34 customers were without power because of the crash. Crews are repairing the line, though, there is no estimated time of restoration was given.
 
No injuries have been reported in the crash.
