Nissan Driver and Passenger Killed in Road 160 Vehicle Collision [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (December 23, 2023) – A Chevrolet driver and a passenger from Earlimart were killed in a Road 160 vehicle collision Friday morning.

CHP officers responded at 5:27 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Avenue 48 near Earlimart. 

Officers said a 2006 Nissan Sentra driver, also from Earlimart, was southbound on Road 160. 

At the same time, an Earlimart man was driving an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado on Avenue 48 toward Road 160. The accident report said the Chevrolet was driven at approximately 55 to 58 miles per hour. 

The Nissan driver failed to stop at the stop sign on the intersection and drove into the path of the Chevrolet. 

The Chevrolet driver was unable to avoid colliding with the Nissan. The front of the Chevrolet crashed into the Nissan’s passenger side doors. 

Sadly, the Nissan drivers a 51-year-old man and his 55-year-old female passenger, both died at the scene. 

The Chevrolet driver was not injured in this collision. 

Troopers said alcohol or drugs were not a factor.
