Female Driver Dead in Fatal Lancaster Car Crash on Challenger Way

 
LANCASTER, CA (December 9, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a driver died in a two-vehicle accident on Challenger Way near Avenue J-3.
 
The deadly incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Challenger Way near Avenue J-3/
 
According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the woman drove a black Toyota Corolla.
 
Then, the vehicle “entered Challenger Way eastbound from the driveway of the Auto Zone into the path of a black BMW… [that] was traveling southbound on Challenger Way.”
 
As a result, responders took the female driver to a local hospital, where she later died.
 
At this time, her identity hasn’t been released due to pending family notification. However, the authorities confirmed that she was in her 40s.
 
Meanwhile, BMW’s male driver stayed at the scene and suffered minor injuries.
 
“The cause of the collision is still being investigated. Speed may be a factor in the collision. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role,” reports stated.
 
The authorities urged anyone with information about the crash to call traffic investigators at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466.
