1 Dead after SUV Crashes into Parked Vehicles near South Meyler Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 6, 2019) – A driver was killed late Sunday evening following a rollover crash on West 2nd Street. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened near South Meyler Street, at about 11:50 PM. An SUV lost control, rolled over, and hit seven parked vehicles.
 
The impact of the crash ejected the driver of the SUV, causing critical injuries. The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead hours after the incident. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone with information is asked to cooperate with investigators as soon as possible. Further details will be released once available.
