San Diego, CA (December 4, 2020) – Friday evening, one person died and another sustained injuries after a head-on crash on Mission Gorge Road.
 
The San Diego fatal crash happened at about 6 p.m on December 4, near Mission Trails Regional Park.
 
San Diego Police reports a 59-year-old man driving a 1984 Toyota pickup heading northeast toward Santee when his truck collided head-on by a 2003 four-door Acura sedan driving on the wrong side of the road.
 
As a result, responders extricated both trapped drivers.
 
Medics then airlifted one of the men to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, while they also transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital the other injured.
 
Moreover, authorities later confirmed the death of the Acura’s driver while undergoing treatment.
 
On the other hand, the driver of the pickup sustained non-life-threatening injuries that included multiple facial fractures.
