1 Injured in Desert Hot Springs Fatal Accident on Highway 62

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (June 16, 2020) – Early Sunday died in a four-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Highway 62.
 
The authorities received a report of the crash at around 2:30 p.m.
 
According to the Desert Hot Springs police, a 37-year-old man driving a Chrysler Town & Country minivan stop at Highway 62. As a result, he struck a northbound Ford Flex driven by a 71-year-old man from Winterhaven.
 
The impact forced the minivan into the south side of Highway 62. Then, it crashed with a 30-year-old Yucca Valley man driving a Mini Cooper.
 
Afterward, the Mini Cooper crashed into the side of a 72-year-old man’s southbound Jeep Cherokee.
 
When the emergency crews arrived, they freed two people from the crash. Meanwhile, the minivan’s driver and passenger sustained serious injuries. Responders took them to a hospital. Unfortunately, the driver later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the minivan passengers and the Mini Cooper and Jeep’s driver suffered minor injuries. Responders also took them to a hospital.
 
At this time, the police didn’t disclose the identity of the parties involved in the fatal crash.
