Dump-Truck Driver Injured in West Marin Fatal Accident That Left Todd Shoberg Dead

 
WEST MARIN, CA (September 29, 2020) – On Monday, Todd Michael Shoberg, 42, died in a crash on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road in West Marin.
 
The head-on crash involving a big rig happened about 9:10 a.m. CHP Officer Andrew Barclay revealed that it occurred on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road, just west of Novato Boulevard.
 
Moreover, according to reports, Shoberg’s Mazda 6 sport wagon initially headed west. However, his vehicle then steered into the eastbound lane and collided with a dump truck head-on. As a result, the authorities declared Mr. Shoberg, of Petaluma, dead at the scene.
 
During the investigation, the officers shut down the road between Novato Boulevard and Nicasio Valley Road for multiple hours.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported the big rig driver to MarinHealth Medical Center in Greenbrae with moderate injuries.
 
The fatal head-on crash remains under active investigation.
