Driver Injured in Fatal Rear-End Crash on Highway 95 [Las Vegas, NV]

Las Vegas, NV ( August 26, 2023) On Friday morning, a truck driver was hurt and a van driver died after a rear-end crash on Highway 95.

According to Nevada State Police (NSP), the fatal 2-vehicle collision happened around 10:15 a.m. on the freeway south of Russell Road, near the Galleria at Sunset Mall in Henderson.

Reports say that a white Dodge RAM cargo van failed to slow down to heavy traffic and collided with the back of a tractor-trailer.

Authorities say that the adult male driver of the man perished due to the collision, while the driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.

The crash closed northbound U.S. 95, traffic was diverted to to exit at Galleria Drive.

Authorities are investigating the tragic 2-vehicle crash and have not released additional information at this time.
