William Vy’s Vehicle Stolen while Helping Trapped Driver on 15 Freeway

CORONA, CA (July 2, 2019) – A driver suffered injuries in a big rig crash on 15 Freeway, Tuesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near 91 Freeway. Due to unknown reasons, a tractor-trailer combo overturned and came to rest on its side in the number one lane on eastbound 91. Its payload spilled onto the freeway, leaving several lanes of travel blocked.

A good Samaritan, identified as William Vy, immediately pulled over to help the trapped big rig driver. It is unknown whether or not the injured driver required hospitalization.

Meanwhile, Vy’s vehicle was nowhere to be found after the incident. As he helped the trapped driver, someone had jumped into his car and taken off. He later reported that his wallet and other personal belongings had been inside his car when it was stolen.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to find the car thief. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.

It is important to always be alert when behind the wheel of a car, truck, or bus. Stay within the speed limit, and follow the rules of the road to prevent any dangerous accidents. Always keep an eye out for possible road hazards and stay on guard.
