1 Hurt in Fairfield Train Accident on Vanden Road

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (July 10, 2020) – Thursday morning, a driver sustained injuries in a car and train crash on Vanden Road in Fairfield.
 
The 66-year-old Vacaville driver sideswiped a train just before 9:00 a.m. It happened on the tracks Vanden Road and Canon Road.
 
According to Fairfield police officials, the driver tried to drive through the railroad crossing arms. However, his Ford F-150 hit the train as it went through the intersection.
 
The crash caused damages to the train. Fortunately, the truck’s driver managed to survive with only minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a witness revealed that the crash broke down the first set of doors on the train’s front passenger car. On the other hand, the incident left the truck with severe damages.
 
Furthermore, the officials revealed that the occupants of the train were uninjured.
